Live Day at Gisborne’s East Coast Museum of Technology – November 8, 2015
On November 8, 2015, Gisborne’s East Coast Museum of Technology will be hosting another Live Day event, which is open to the public.
Live Day – East Coast Museum of Technology
Each Live Day event hosted by the East Coast Museum of Technology brings an opportunity to experience technology from yesteryears in action. Many of the old vehicles will be up and running with the opportunity to ride on them!
This year’s ECMoT Live Day promises to present interactive exhibits and plenty of fun things for the kids to experience. Not only is it fun and interactive for the kids, but it’s also a place for Nana and Grandad to take a walk down memory lane.
Plenty to See and Experience – Always Evolving
The East Coast Museum of Technology is run completely by a volunteer staff. The moderate entrance fee of $5 per adult and $1-2 per child helps keep the lights on, maintain the current equipment, and expand on other exhibits for the future. Volunteers are constantly working to improve the exhibits and are there to answer any questions you might have during your visit.
Some of the museum’s current noteworthy exhibits include fire engines and equipment, WWII military vehicles, agricultural equipment (tractors), horse-drawn vehicles, stationary engines, and one of the more recent exhibits is for the domestic kitchen and households.
Where is the East Coast Museum of Technology located and what are the hours?
The ECMoT is located about 6 miles outside of the main Gisborne area at:
67 Main Road, Makaraka, 4010, Gisborne, NZ
Hours: Sun-Fri 10am – 4pm, Sat 1pm-4pm. They are closed during Christmas.
