Sunsplash Summer Festival 2017
Summers are a lot of fun in New Zealand, and the people of Gisborne know how to make the best of the season. The Sunsplash Summer Festival 2017 offers two weeks full of wild surf, amazing music lineups and beachfront entertainment. If previous years are any indication, the Sunsplash Summer Festival 2017 is expected to attract thousands of people from across the country. Festival water events include long boarding, paddle boarding, and of course, surfing. Other entertainment includes the East Coast Vibes Music Festival, a skateboard competition, races on the beach and so much more!

The East Coast Vibes Music Festival will celebrate its 5th anniversary in 2017 and is proud to announce a fantastic talent line-up, including both local and international reggae, soul, and hip-hop. Makorori First Light Longboard Surfing Classic
On February 5, Makorori First Light Longboard Surfing Classic will take place. This event began in 1994 and is now a part of the Sunsplash Summer Festival. This event is available to all levels of longboard surfing, family-friendly, and a unique experience. More event info can be found on Facebook.
